This is a memorial to my dad, Roscoe L. Grummons, 91 passed Oct. 22, 2008 in Boynton Beach, FL. He and my mother, Selma, started taking square dancing lessons in 1957 and loved it. They were instrumental in forming the Castoff's Square Dancing Club of Boynton Beach, Florida in 1963.
Mom passed in 1985, and dancing along with his printing business kept Dad going. He went to all the conventions that were held in Florida for years upto his illness in 2002 at which time I became his caregiver until his passing. He considered his square dancing "friends" an extension of his family. People will remember him for passing out "free hug" business cards and "my card" which are probably all over the world. Square dancing was a very fullfulling part of his life. If you have any memories of him please add a comment below this article.
